Wikiprogress:CountriesPolicies
From Wikiprogress.org
Here you can help us build up a database of countries’ past policies and reforms, stretching back from 1970’s onwards. The purpose of this database directly ties in with WikiProgress’ aims – to make progress an agenda for policy-makers. Here, when you are visualising data, you can directly see how a particular reform has affected an indicator of progress. Hence, you can see the best practice policies which work. You can contribute to your own country’s past large-scale reforms, or any others that you may know. If we have not added your country, please go ahead and add it, and start filling in policies.
The topics of reforms should be quite general. Please include the reform strategy name, the type of reform and very importantly, the date when the policy was announced and put into effect. If the name is noted down, others can research more about particular reforms. The main topics are:
- Education reforms;
- Health reforms;
- Infrastructure reforms;
- Environmental policy and energy reforms;
- Industrial policy, trade and business reforms;
- Immigration reforms;
- Agricultural reforms;
- Political reforms;
- Welfare and pension reforms;
- Finance, bank and tax reforms (please only include big reforms. If you are unsure, please contact info@wikiprogress.org)
- Monetary and fiscal reforms;
Countries have been added by region, and you can contribute easily by clicking edit while on the relevant country policy page. If you can provide references at the end, that would help others find out more about it.
