The summer-school develops three main topics, addressing different questions:

- CONCEPTUAL DEFINITIONS (How can the complexity be conceptually designed? How can the QoL be defined through indicators? How can knowledge be transferred into policy?)

- DATA (How can data be found? How can data be collected?)

- ANALYTICAL TOOLS AND STRATEGIES, allowing the whole picture to be reconstructed (How can the observed picture be reconstructed? How can the whole picture be simplified and shown? How can the whole picture be communicated?)
