The Partnership in Statistics for Development in the 21st Century (PARIS21) is a joint project by the UN, the European Commission, the OECD, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank. It was founded in November 1999 following the UN Economic and Social Council resolution on the goals of the UN Conference on Development.
The main working areas are:[1]

- to improve governance and government effectiveness in reducing poverty and achieving the Millennium Development Goals
- assisting low-income countries to design, implement, and monitor a National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS).
