The Australian Bureau of Statistics is pleased to be hosting the next NatStats Conference on 15-17 September 2010 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.


NatStats 2010 will provide a unique opportunity for key stakeholders from across the statistical community, government, business and academia to discuss strategies for measuring progress in Australian Society, improving the value and use of statistics and building a strong and vibrant National Statistical Service in Australia.


The Conference will explore drivers of economic and related social change and how these measures can assist the development of Australia. The Conference themes will focus on the information required to understand current trends and develop a relevant and accurate public policy response.


As a participant at the NatStats Conference you will help contribute to the effective use of better, broader and more comparable information for better monitoring of government services, improved access to and use made of data by the wider community, and reduced overall costs for the provision of government information services.


NatStats 2010 is an initiative of the National Statistical Service, a community of government agencies, working together to build a rich statistical picture for a better informed Australia.  To register your interest in attending the conference please email natstats@nss.gov.au
