Midiendo el Progreso de la Sociedades- Una Perspectiva desde Mexico is a global project to promote the development of a set of social, economic and environmental indicators, and to understand the wellbeing of society.
Foro Consultivo Cientifico y Tecnologico
The Foro Consultivo Cientifico y Tecnológico has published the book "Measuring the progress of societies. Reflections from Mexico" concerning the theme of progress, which set of new indicators ought to be used in order to measure the progress of societies and also aims to promote a general and desirable reflection in Mexico.
Sistema Nacional de Indicadores Ambientales (SNIA)
The Sistema Nacional de Indicadores Ambientales (SNIA)is a set of databases (statistical, mapping, graphics, documentaries, etc..), tools(computer and human), programs and procedures involved in collecting, organizing and disseminating information about the environment and natural resources of the country.The SNIA integrates information on inventories of natural resources, the monitoring of air quality, water and soil, and ecological land records, programs and actions aimed at the preservation of ecological balance and environmental protection. It also includes reports and documents resulting from the scientific, academic and technical work in environmental and natural resource preservation in-country.

Multidimensional Poverty Index
The Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) for Mexico is 0.015. The MPI is an international measure of acute poverty covering 109 countries. The MPI reflects the multiple deprivations that poor people face at the same time in three dimensions: health, education and living standards. The MPI reflects both the incidence or headcount ratio (H) of poverty – the proportion of the population that is multidimensionally poor – and the average intensity (A) of their poverty – the average proportion of indicators in which poor people are deprived. Happiness in Mexico
This is an overview of findings on Happiness in Mexico.The available findings are presented in the latest ‘Nation Report’ on Mexico [1]. This report is ordered by type of happiness questions and within these types by year. This ordering is to facilitate the assessment of progress, comparison over time being most fruitful using the same questions.
The report presents means and standard deviations, both on the original scale range and transformed to a common range 0-10. The means inform about the level of happiness in the country and the standard deviations about inequality of happiness.
Links provide more detail about the precise text of the question, the full distribution of responses and technical details of the survey. The report is continuously updated.
