Within the framework of the Belgian EU-presidency, Flanders will host a two-day event on sustainable development. The event will examine the key role of regional policy-making in the realisation of European sustainability objectives. The first day (4 October 2010) Flanders, the nrg4SD-network of regions and other relevant regions will exchange best practices and experiences regarding regional policy and policy-indicators.
On the second day (5 October 2010) Flanders and the EU Committee of the Regions (CoR) will organise an Open Days 2010 workshop that will focus on the ongoing debate concerning indicators and policies for sustainable development.
