About
A group of experts from the two countries will discuss recent developments and will then focus on the issues and recommendations identified in the Report commissioned by President Sarkozy. The UK government's intention to gauge people's happiness in household surveys follows President Sarkozy's announcement last year that he plans to include wellbeing in France's measurement of economic progress. However, whilst the UK government talks of learning from the French approach, the two countries have markedly different approaches. It is anticipated that the meeting will provide a rich opportunity for cross fertilization and the generation of new ideas. See the official site for more details
