Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union situated in Luxembourg and .was established in 1953. The mission is to provide the European Union with a high-quality statistical information service that enable comparisons between countries and regions. Decision makers at EU level, in Member States, in local government and in business as well as in public and media need statistics to make decisions. Eurostat offers a whole range of important and interesting data that can be used in work and daily life.
