A common starting point
There are many initiatives to develop frameworks for child well-being and opinions diverge about what is relevant to capture to account for at the development stages of early childhood, middle childhood and adolescence. We recognise that there are some elements of subjectivity in evaluations of child well-being, and that unanimity is difficult to reach. But the proposed framework can provide a common starting point for the various initiatives, attempting to be set broad enough to be adaptable to different cultures and scopes. Child well-being can be considered an element of progress so that links to the progress taxonomy and content. The following topics are based on the taxonomy of progress proposed by the Global Project on Measuring the Progress of Societies and up for debate. Please feel free to contribute to this page and help the wikiprogress community to further its study of child well-being related indicators, the dimensions therein and the interactions between dimension.
