Arts
The term "arts" includes various forms of visual arts, such as fine art, architecture, photography etc., literature, and the performing arts, such as music, drama and film. Arts are an important part of the culture of a society or a historical period.Studies

Also includes a literature review and index of agencies working on cultural indicators.

Arts Education
Through its Arts Education Programme, UNESCO conducts efforts to outline standards for and promote arts education throughout the international community. The organization commissions extensive research studies, organizes regional meetings, has held numerous World Conferences and created advocacy documents such as the Road Map for Arts Education in pursuit of its goal to establish "an understanding on the important role of arts education within the international community."
